TEAM – Together Everyone Achieves More

Our TEAM culture approach at Ridgehaven School is developing well. We have given each TEAM a name based on the flora and fauna in our local area.

We have included our school mascot ‘Larry the Lorikeet’ and his mission is to drive our concept of respect through promoting and modelling the ‘Golden Rule’. All the other TEAMs have a key concepts which we promote and learn about during our TEAM Games and are highlighted at TEAM TIME.

We are really exciting about this project moving forward and aim to increase a children sense of belonging.

Ridgehaven Primary School has worked in collaboration with Scott Rathman from Rusted Tin to co-create digital prints for our TEAM culture.

Larry the Lorikeet - School Mascot - Golden Rule

If someone is unlike you, seek to understand them.
Treat others as you would like them to treat you.

Red TEAM - Rosellas - Bottle Brush - Personal Best

We don’t come to school to be better than others.  We come to school to better ourselves by being able to work with others.

Pursue your personal best no matter who you work with.

Yellow TEAM - Cockatoos - Golden Wattle - Strong Decisions

We do the right thing because it’s the best thing to do.

It takes great strength to be sensible.

Green TEAM - Parrots - Eucalyptus Tree - Be Brave

School is about stepping bravely into the unknown.  The unknown is often uncomfortable.  The braver you are, the more you learn.

Be Brave – Participate to progress.

Blue TEAM - Kookaburras - Australian Blue Wildflowers - Have Reasons

If you don’t know why you’re doing something then don’t do it because it’s most likely wrong.

Have reasons for the things you say and do.
