Welcome from our Principal

Mrs Laura Tambe, School Principal

Naa marni and welcome to Ridgehaven Primary School!

At Ridgehaven Primary School, we take immense pride in providing a nurturing and dynamic educational environment for children from Preschool through to Year 6. Our school is not just a place of learning but a community where children, parents, caregivers, and staff work together to achieve success.

Our school motto, ‘A community learning together’, reflects our belief in the power of collaboration and shared responsibility in education. We foster a culture of respect, persistence, and success, where children feel safe, included, and valued. Many visitors to our school comment on the warm ‘community feel’ they experience when they speak with our children, staff and families. We call this ‘The Ridgey-Didge Way’!

At Ridgehaven, we offer a comprehensive curriculum with a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy, complemented by specialist programs in Science, Japanese, Physical Education, Music, and Drama. Our highly dedicated team of educators are committed to ensuring every child is provided with educational experiences that prepare them for the future.

We understand the importance of social and emotional wellbeing, and we prioritise creating supportive conditions for learning where children can thrive and feel a sense of belonging. Through student voice and learner agency, we empower our children to take ownership of their learning journey and develop essential skills for lifelong success.

At Ridgehaven, parent/caregiver involvement is strongly encouraged through volunteering, participation in decision-making processes, and engagement in school activities. We have a strong and vibrant Governing Council committed to further improving the school and various sub committees such as; OSHC, Preschool, Finance, Reconciliation Action and Fundraising. Our wonderful parent volunteers support many initiatives throughout the year including fundraising events, sausage sizzles, raffles and breakfast club. Without our volunteers, these initiatives would not be possible.

I invite you to explore Ridgehaven Primary School further and discover the opportunities we provide for your child’s education and personal growth. Whether you are considering enrolment or simply curious about our school, please reach out to us. We would be thrilled to arrange a personal meeting or tour to showcase all that Ridgehaven has to offer.

Warm Regards,

Laura Tambe
