Enrolment process
If your child turns 5 years old:
- before 1 May, they can start primary school in term 1 of that year.
- between 1 May and 31 October, they can start primary school in term 3 (mid-year intake) or term 1 the following year.
- after 31 October, they can start primary school the following year.
Children who start school at the beginning of the year will complete 4 terms of reception, while children who start through the mid-year intake will complete 6 terms of reception.
Your child must be at school by their 6th birthday.
If our school is not your local school, you can still apply to enrol, but enrolment will only be offered if we have places available.

Apply to enrol
Step 1: submit an Enrolment Registration of Interest form. You can get a form from our front office or via the link.
Due dates:
- Start of year enrolment 2025 – form due by 31 August 2024
- Mid year intake enrolment 2025 – form due by 15 February 2025
Offers of enrolment
Step 2: You’ll receive an offer of enrolment with an enrolment form to be completed and returned to the school. Make sure you return the enrolment form by the specified date with the required attached documents.
You’ll need to provide:
- a completed enrolment form
- a copy of the child’s original birth certificate or passport
- residency visa, if you’re a non-Australian resident
- proof of address (for example utility bill or lease agreement).
Your child’s placement is not secured until all paperwork is returned.
Transition visits
Before starting school, you will receive a letter to let you know when you can attend a reception transition visit either in term 2 (mid-year reception intake) or in term 4 (start of year reception intake).
Changing schools
If your child is transferring from another school please contact the school to check if there are places are available.
